IWC Schaffhausen presents the new Ingenieur Automatic 40, featuring a blue dial that combines the bold aesthetics of Gérald Genta’s original design from the 1970s with the highest standards of ergonomics, finishing and movement technology.
Inspired by the Ingenieur SL model, launched in 1955 as the brand’s first anti-magnetic watch, this new model maintains the iconic style, including the characteristic bezel with five functional screws and the integrated bracelet.
The 40 mm stainless steel case has been redesigned to ensure comfort on any wrist, featuring polished and satin-finished finishes. The blue dial with a grid pattern is created using high-pressure stamping and PVD coating, with hands and markers filled with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring excellent legibility.
Powered by the caliber 32111, an automatic movement developed by IWC, the watch offers a power reserve of 120 hours and antimagnetic protection thanks to a soft iron inner case. Other features include a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, water resistance up to 10 bar, and an integrated bracelet with butterfly clasp.
