A watchmaker trained at Casa Pia in Lisbon, he currently works at the Portuguese Navy Hydrographic Institute, where he is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all watchmaking devices, such as the well-known Navy Chronometer. He is also responsible for technical assistance at the Sociedade de Relojoaria Independente.
